31-650Z - Class 47 47835 'Windsor Castle'

Originally introduced as D1654 at Cardiff Canton Depot on 23rd January 1965, the locomotive had a long & prestigious service history, firstly on BR Western Region serving Landore, Cardiff, Neath, Old Oak Common & Bristol depots, then with the InterCity & Parcels fleets and later consigned to Special, VIP & Royal Train services in its swansong years as 47799 'PRINCE HENRY'. The locomotive as seen here is in its BR InterCity 'Swallow' livery, that was applied in November 1989, having been named as 'WINDSOR CASTLE' by Her Majesty, The Queen in a ceremony at Paddington Station on 26th July 1985 to commemorate the 150th anniversary year of the Great Western Railway. It is currently at Eastleigh Works, having been moved there for storage since May 2009 after completing nearly 35 years of distinguished service.

Each model will come with its own individual limited edition certificate and numbers are limited to 512 items.
